Touched by His Spirit

Devotions Week 8:

Mere change is not growth. Growth is the synthesis of change and continuity and where there is no continuity, there is no growth. ~ C.S. Lewis

Christ’s great challenge. Throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. Instead, let the spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on your new nature, created to be like God – truly righteous and holy. Ephesians 4:22-24
(read 4:17-24)
The timeless reality of Christ. That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched – this we proclaim concerning the Word of life. 1 John 1:1
(read 1:1-10)
The mystery of Christ. No, we declare God’s wisdom, a mystery that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. 1 Corinthians 2:7
(read 2:6-16)
Christian weapons. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:4-5
(read 10:3-5)
Vital values of faith. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:18
(read 4:13-18)
The calling of Christ. Through Him and for His name sake, we received grace and apostleship to call people from among all the gentiles to the obedience that comes through faith. And you also are among those who are called to belong to Jesus Christ. Romans 1:5-6
(read 1:1-6)
Freedom through life with Christ. So then just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in Him, rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. Colossians 2:6-7
(read 2:6-10)

In my life Lord be glorified, be glorified. In my life Lord be glorified today.
