The New Harvest Christian Fellowship

It’s All in the Book

Devotions Week 13:

Christ is the greatest influence in the world today. There is as has well been said, a fifth gospel being written-the work of Jesus Christ in the hearts and lives of men and nations. ~ W. H. Griffith Thomas

The power of Christ. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. Colossians 1:17
(read 1:15-20)
Acceptance of Christ. Just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your lord, you must continue to follow Him. Let your roots grow down to Him, and let your lives be built on Him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness. Colossians 2:6-7
(read 2:6-13)
Walking tall in Christ. We know also that the Son Of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know Him who is true. And we are in Him who is true – even in His Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal Life. 1 John 5:20
(read 5:13-21)
As predicted by the prophets. Beginning with Moses and all the prophets, He explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning Himself. Luke 24:27
(read 24:25-35)
Persevere in goodness. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9
(read 6:1-10)
Making the blind see. Finally they turned again to the blind man, “What have you to say about Him? It was your eyes he opened.” The man replied, “He is a prophet…” A second time they summoned the man who had been blind. “Give glory to God be telling the truth,” they said. “We know this man is a sinner.” He replied, “Whether He is a sinner or not, I don’t know. One thing I do know. I was blind but now I see!” John 9:17, 24-25
(read 9:13-27)
Using our time wisely. Be very careful, then, how you live – not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Ephesians 5:15-16
(read 5:8-20)

Firmly I believe and truly God is Three and God is One;
And I next acknowledge duly manhood taken by the Son.
And I trust and hope most fully in that manhood crucified;
And each thought and deed unruly do to death as He has died.
Simply to His grace and wholly light and life and strength belong,
And I love supremely, solely, Him the holy, Him the strong.
