Freedom by the Spirit of Truth

Devotions Week 22:

Our first place of victory is in believing the truth concerning our relationship with God. We come to believe He is our Helper in the healing of our souls. ~ Francis Frangipane

Truth, faith, hope and eternal life. I Paul, [am] a servant of God and apostle of Jesus Christ for the faith of God’s elect and the knowledge of the truth that leads to godliness — a faith and knowledge resting on the hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised before the beginning of time… Titus 1:1-2
(read 1:1- 3)
Being set free by the truth. To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:31-32
(read 8:25-36)
Living as children of light. For you were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. Ephesians 4:22-24
(read 4:17-32)
Faith and constant renewal. It is written; “I believe; therefore I have spoken.” With the same spirit of faith we also believe and therefore speak… Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 2 Corinthians 4:13, 16
(read 4:13-18)
The Lord looks at the heart. “After removing Saul, He made David the king. He testified concerning him: ‘I have found David son of Jesse a man after my own heart; he will do everything I want him to do.’ From this man’s descendants God has brought to Israel the Saviour Jesus, as He promised. Acts 13:22-23
(read 13:20-23)
Following Jesus and doing his will. …Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “If a man is thirsty let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him.” John 7:37-38
(read 7:33-41)
The glory beyond the veil. But when anyone turns to the lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lords glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. 2 Corinthians 3:16-18
(read 3:7-18)

There’s a place where sin and shame are powerless
Where my heart has peace with God and forgiveness
Where all the love I’ve ever found comes like a flood comes flowing down
At the Cross, At the Cross I surrender my life I’m in awe of you, I’m in awe of you
Where Your love ran red and my sin washed white I owe all to You, I owe all to You Jesus
