Devotions Week 35:

You cannot expect to live a positive life with a negative mind. ~ Joyce Meyers

Confidence in the Lord vs. doubt in ourselves. Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses and said, “We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it.” But the men who had gone up with him said, “We can’t attack those people; they are stronger than we are.” Numbers 13:30-31
(read 13:17-33)
Despair! When their eyes were not on God. All the Israelites grumbled against Moses and Aaron, and the whole assembly said to them, “If only we had died in Egypt! Or in this wilderness! Why is the Lord bringing us to this land only to let us fall by the sword? Our wives and children will be taken as plunder. Wouldn’t it be better for us to go back to Egypt?” Numbers 14:2-3
(read 14:1-9)
Fear and lack of faith and trust in God! The Lord said to Moses, “How long will these people tread me with contempt? How long will they refuse to believe in me, in spite of the miraculous signs I have performed among them?” Numbers 14:11
(read 14:10-24)
Lack of faith and trust in Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out “Lord, save me!” Immediately Jesus reached out His hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” He said, “why did you doubt?” Matthew 14:30-31

(read 1:2-8)
Unity and maturity in the body of Christ. So Christ Himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip His people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Ephesians 4:11-13
(read 4:1-13)
God’s way and the purpose of God’s Word. “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord…  “My word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. Isaiah 55:8, 11

Lord I come to You, let my heart be changed renewed, flowing from the grace that I found in You. Lord I’ve come to know the weaknesses I see in me will be stripped away by the power of Your love.
Hold me close, let Your love surround me. Bring me near, draw me to Your side and as I wait I’ll rise up like the eagle and I will soar with You, Your Spirit leads me on by the power of Your love.
Lord unveil my eyes let me see You face to face, the knowledge of Your love as You live in me. And Lord renew my mind as Your will unfolds in my life. In living every day by the power of Your Love.
