All for You Jesus

Devotions Week 12:

Consecration is going all in and all out for the All in All. ~ Mark Batterson

Leaving our former way of life. “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will make you fishers of men.” At once they left their nets and followed Him. Matthew 4:19-20

Crossing the Jordan. Then Joshua told the people, “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among you.” Joshua 3:5

Zacchaeus the tax collector. But Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord, “Look Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount.” Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham. For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost.” Luke 19:8-10

Saved by grace through faith. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this not from yourselves, it is a gift of God – not by works so that no one can boast. Ephesians 2:8-9

The one who has more to be forgiven, loves more! When a woman who had lived a sinful life in that town learned that Jesus was eating at the Pharisee’s house, she brought an alabaster jar of perfume, and as she stood behind Him at his feet weeping, she began to wet His feet with her tears. Then she wiped them with her hair, kissed them and poured perfume on them. Luke 7:37-38

Leaving the old way of life for God’s kingdom. So Elisha left him and went back. He took his yoke of oxen and slaughtered them. He burnt the ploughing equipment to cook the meat and gave it to the people, and they ate. Then he set out to follow Elijah and became his attendant. 1 Kings 19:21

I’m giving You my heart and all that is within
I lay it all down for the sake of You my King
I’m giving You my dreams, I’m laying down my rights
I’m giving up my pride for the promise of new life

And I surrender all to You, all to You
And I surrender all to You, all to You

I’m singing You this song, I’m waiting at the Cross
And all the world holds dear I count it as loss
For the sake of knowing You, the glory of Your name
To know the lasting joy, even sharing in Your Pain
